ET Engineteam advanced timing chain kit including genuine OE components. Contains sealing compound, housing cleaner, complete Kolbenschmidt pistons, TRW valves, cylinder head bolts, cylinder head gasket and piston mounting tool. Suitable for Audi A1, VW Golf VI, Seat Ibiza V, Škoda Fabia with CBZA and CBZB engines.

The 1.2 TSI 63 kW engines in particular often suffered from failures of the timing system. There was a risk of chain skip during cold starts with insufficient chain tension. That resulted in unsynchronised movement of valves and pistons which lead to engine damage. The timing chain kit RS0042 from ET Engineteam resolves this problem.

Problems usually occur after 40-60 thousands kms. If you want to be on the safe side, we recommend changing the timing components after 40 thousands kms.
