In addition to the modified axial locking of the rotor (perforated rotor) to increase service life, the main difference compared to the original type is the filling of the electronics compartment with Silgel.
Silgel (Silgel - transparent incapsulating compound) prevents the harmful effect of permeability (especially moisture, dust, etc.) on the circuit board. Because the DAE membrane (pressure compensation membrane) method does not work completely reliably, this solution was chosen.
However, the complexity of production is relatively high and these pumps are much more expensive compared to the "unfilled" types.
The Silgel version should preferably be used where the risk of permeability is potentially possible. In this case, permeability is understood as the process by which a substance (moisture, impurities, etc.) penetrates or migrates through solid surface.
